- ½ cup chickpea flour (besan)
- 2/3 cup water (add more as needed)
- ½ tablespoon baking powder
- ¼ table spoon red chili powder
- ½ table spoon cumin Powder
- 1 Small onion, chopped
- 1 big potato
- 2 cups oil
- A few spinach leaves
- Salt to taste
1. Beat chickpea flour (besan) in water until it becomes a thick batter. Set aside for about 15 minutes.
2. Add salt, cumin powder, chili powder and baking powder to the batter and beat the mixture again.
3. Slice onion and potatoes. Mix well and add spinach leaves.
4. In a deep pan, heat oil in medium heat.
5. Dip the vegetables in the batter and deep fry till golden brown.
6. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup of your choice!
